Why we started
The founders of TechRock spent the better part of a decade inside large consulting firms — close enough to see what worked and what didn't. The pattern was consistent: impressive pitches from senior people, contracts signed on the back of that confidence, and then delivery handed off to junior teams who had never done it before.
We built TechRock around a single constraint: the person you meet in the first conversation is the person on your programme. No account management layer. No escalation paths that lead back to someone who disappeared after the contract was signed. Just senior practitioners — in AI delivery, agile coaching, project management, business analysis, and test management — working as one integrated practice.
We work with technology organisations that need someone who has genuinely done it before, and who will tell them honestly when we're not the right fit. That's rarer than it should be.

Delivery is the proof
Consulting that doesn't improve outcomes isn't consulting — it's theatre. We hold ourselves to what actually shipped, what changed, what improved.
Clarity is a feature
Ambiguous requirements are not soft problems. Insisting on clarity early — even when it's uncomfortable — is one of the highest-value things a consultant can do.
Senior on every line
The person who pitches is the person who delivers. No bait-and-switch. No account teams who disappear after the contract is signed.
Complexity should be earned
Simple systems that work are worth more than sophisticated ones that don't. We resist unnecessary complexity in architecture, process, and governance.
We're deliberately small. We don't carry bench capacity we need to sell. Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner — someone who has actually done the work before, not managed it from the back of the room.
Where we work
We're based in London. Most of our clients are UK organisations — in financial services, insurance, professional services, and the public sector. We work on-site where it matters and remotely where it doesn't. We don't bill travel as a default.
What we don't do
No roadshows
We don't pitch with people who won't be in the room when delivery starts. The people you meet are the people who do the work.
No rebadged graduates
We don't put junior consultants in senior roles and manage them from the back. Every engagement is led by someone who has done it before.
No artificial dependency
We don't build processes that require us to maintain them. Knowledge transfer is part of every engagement, not an optional extra.
No pitch without understanding
We don't send proposals before we understand the situation. We ask questions first, and we give you an honest view before anything is agreed.
No scope games
We price by outcome, not days. We don't have an incentive to keep projects running longer than necessary.
No pretending
If we're not the right fit for a piece of work, we say so in the first call. Our reputation is built on what we deliver, not what we win.
